Steam Facial at Home

Take the steam of hot water, cover your face with a towel. Take steam twice a week for 10 minutes. The steam facial helps to extract the blackheads and clean the pores. You can even go to the salon or gym for a steam bath, if not preferred at home.

Charcoal Mask

Charcoal absorbs excess oil and shrinks the pores, thus helps to get rid of nasty ugly blackheads, even the ones that are very stubborn. Add a tablespoon of gelatin to water, heat it for 10 mins. Add activated charcoal and make a thick paste. Apply to your nose and let it dry. Peel it off after and wash your face. Blackheads removal strips are readily available in stores and online. Apply a strip on the slightly wet nose, press it gently and allow it to dry for 10-15 minutes. Now gently pull the strip, the dead skins and blackhead get struck to the strip

Salicylic Acid Cleanser

Wash your face with a cleanser containing salicylic acid, it has blackhead fighting ingredient. Gently massage your entire face with the cleanser and allow it to stand for 15 seconds so that it penetrates deep inside and clean the skin. Do not use harsh soap it may dry out your skin more.

Preventive Tips

  • Avoid washing your face very often. Use a mild cleanser to wash your face twice a day.
  • Do not pop or rub or scratch the blackheads. Just Don’t.
  • Change your pillow covers very frequently.
  • Steam your face once in a week.
  • With doctors prescription, you can apply a thin layer of benzoyl peroxide on your nose for 5 minutes daily.
  • Disinfect your blackheads with a small amount of toner in a cotton ball. Gently dab this cotton pad on your nose.
